A Buyer's Checklist for Field Test Equipment: 5 Things I Check Before Approving an Anritsu Order

We had a situation where an analyzer arrived without the right cert. The project was held up for 10 days while we got it recalibrated. The vendor wasn't bad—we just hadn't specified it correctly on the PO. (Mental note: verify this before the PO is sent, every single time.)

Step 3: Confirm the Accessories and Kit Completeness

Field test equipment is rarely just the main unit. An Anritsu S361E, for example, needs antennas, cables, batteries, chargers, and possibly a carrying case. Some of these are included in a standard kit. Some are not.

The numbers said the fully-optioned kit from Vendor A was $600 more than the bare unit from Vendor B. My gut said this was a comparison trap.
